North Bay Area in CA is going up in smoke right now. My whole fb feed is covered with stories from the wildfires, a few of them have evenlost their homes. Air quality is bad even in my area there's even reports of ashes falling in Oakland. Bad time to be a Californian right now. :/

Had to backtrack to the previous page to see what you were talking about. Water temple can truly be enigmatic, but it's all about finding the keys and knowing your water levels in order to progress. When I first played it I got stuck because I forgot to revisit the room you first find princess Ruto in. If you set the water level to the 2nd floor and head back there, you'll find a wall that can be bombed and a key inside. Also, when you're inside the center tower with the water level set to the 2nd floor, one of the platforms float. You can sink down under that platform which will lead to another room full of enemies. Once they're killed the game should reveal another way that leads to another key. Those were the two keys that I needed which gave me problems. I also found that using farores wind by one of the water levels was helpful. Oh and there's a block down at one of the very bottom rooms that you need to move towards you. It will keep you from getting through and seems pointless to move in the first place, but sometime after you beat Dark Link you'll find yourself on a perpendicular side of the block. If you did move it earlier on you can slide it aside and carry on. If you didn't move it... You fucked yourself and will have to go back. That's what got me on my recent playthrough. Hopefully some of that makes sense to you and helps you out. Personally, once you beat Dark Link the rest of the water temple becomes pretty straightforward, although that last steep hill with the moving spikes right before the boss can be very frustrating.

I've started to play Majora's Mask again to distract me from all the bad shit happening right now.

Nothing like Majora's Mask to cheer one up

I bought new computer speakers for the first time ever, lol. I've always just used my husband's hand me downs. The ones I have now are finally legit in the crapper after, gosh, well over 10 years of use.

Maybe I'll buy a new laptop next!

Hey, big spender!*

*my dad used to be a database developer/programmer for a company, primarily focusing on Oracle DBs. The company sent him down to their warehouse in Mexico for a week or so on a project one year. He said every day when he and a coworker would leave the hotel to head to work or out for the evening, they were immediately surrounded by the local kids who would repeatedly say, "Hey, big spender!" in an attempt to sell the silly Americans whatever warez they were peddling at the time. Dad also said if you made the mistake of actually buying something, word spread quickly throughout the little gang, and you were sure to be harassed even more. Dad made the mistake of buying a "hand carved" marble chess set. I think it may have been hand carved, as several pieces were off balance and had a tendency to fall over.

I read a comparison on YouTube, if Ocarina of Time was directed by Steven Spielberg then Majora's Mask was directed by Tim Burton. Indeed, this entry does feel eerier than most other Zelda games, although the mechanics may not be to everyone's liking. I personally enjoyed this one and felt gaming shivers on several occasions. Possessed Skullkid made for an excellent villain and was a welcome change from Ganon. I wish they made more darker, twisted Zelda games like this. With the exception of Twilight Princess, it seems like they'e always appealing to the kiddies in their designs rather than the former generation that grew up on them. Skyward Sword and Windwaker might as well be directed by the producers of Sesame Street, or maybe I'm just getting too old.

J Pie...it's me. I ALWAYS care. Except when I don't. So, when I click that link, the first line of marketing spill says:

"Magic happens when smooth curves meet straight lines."

You don't say? You fuckin' perv...you would pick speakers with something like that for a marketing tag line. Just look where such thinking got YOU - breastfeeding.

Whoa... Remember that Indonesian goalie that died after a freak collision with another player during a match?

Turns out my gym instructor was the best man of the other player's wedding. He had already told me he had a friend playing in South-East Asia, and I knew the player was Brazilian, but I had no idea he was from the district where I live.

Understandably, the guy is devastated

Damn, yeah, heard that, that must be tough to deal with.

I don't get it. Last semester, I flunked a student for plagiarism. Explained why. This semester she's back and, guess what I've just found?

I can't believe someone doesn't know you're not supposed to "borrow" two entire pages from another work without giving the original author a mere head nod, let alone the proper reference

Posted by Lews on Nov-15-2017 11:49:

How is that not an expulsion?

Yeah for real.
