I just reconstructed the notes by ear. I don't want to over-complicate this one. Just want it to be a departure from the original, while keeping the lead melody/bass nearly the same, as I think is best with classic songs. Feedback is appreciate and I would be interested to hear if anyone knows the original

production is really good, maybe slightly treble-y for my tastes - dont know the original but its a quirky tune!

keep working on ideas as you have the production skills to make better music imo

Have not been able to get soundcloud to play on my home or work computer for a while until just now;

CALEB - grabs me from the off. Syncy lead and the organ lead a a little attacky / sharp - just tame slightly to make them more pleasurable.

Like your playing those melos mate, very impressive. I think the syncy saw lead could sound a bit more interesting / stevie wonderish - maybe you can make a slightly better sound that evolves a bit with some automation and pitch wheel action.

Good to see a finished work mate.

Now, I'm about to give someone else feedback IF soundcloud works after I save this post............ Otherwise assume I cant get it to work again.

Ah ha, SC worked for me again!

Track is well mixed and good sound choices but not as groovy as that techno track of yours a little while back.

Now it's happened again, SC will no longer play, sorry man as I realise you want some more feedback.

Perhaps others are having this SC issue? Maybe stick this on youtube?

its usually safe to just comment on the most recently posted track.
I totally misread your comment as "so who likes music", and was ready to deliver a swift hammer of judgement your way. good thing i have as a personal policy to always read everything twice, and always reconsider once.

I don't know much about this style but it sounds alright to me production wise.

Nice, i think it's a neat idea to do different remix of these classics from 10-12 years ago.

Posted by Viber on Oct-04-2013 13:21:

Ok, so this is an idea iv'e been working on this past week while trying to stick a bit more to the known formulas.

What do you think? any good? main melody worth stickin with?

Good ideas. Reminds me of late 90's trance. Like the melody.

But the track needs much more weight.

Posted by Viber on Oct-04-2013 14:49:

Weight as in more synth layers?

Posted by TranceElevation on Oct-04-2013 15:01:

Exactly.

The track needs body, meat, weight.

MUST....NOT....USE....SUPERSAWSSSS

bpm is fine where it is imo and production sounds really good to my ears

could use a crash or something after the break, tribalish percussion is nice, sounds like the track is mostly done

Posted by meriter on Oct-05-2013 00:15:

heres something, it's kind of a fruit basket but it has some interesting time changes and polyrhythms, I hope since this is a trance forum no one will judge me for the cheesy videogame music
