Nice setup Konix. I'm digging the white vinyls + white macbook combo.

That is sweet indeed

Just put this together a few weeks ago out of spare hardware I wasn't using.. Realized gee, I've got a 4 channel mixer, PC with a decent soundboard and a spare monitor sitting around. Might as well put it to use. So now I have a digital mixing desk... for whem I'm too lazy to stand up and mix on the turntables. I didn't realize how much more fun Traktor is with an external mixer

Posted by Rememberence_ on Oct-01-2007 18:24:

I could never figure out how to finely adjust the pitch in Traktor. Can anyone tell me how to do this? It has been a while, but from what I remember I could never adjust in increments smaller than like 1%. Useless.

There's a way to change the range so you can do what you want...

I like the "fine" setting. This results in 3 presses of the assigned hotkey changing the pitch .1%.

"Min" results in a hotkey that takes 12 presses to move the pitch .1%, indeed a very fine adjustment.

U oh!!

Did you not see what happened about 3 pages ago when someone told someone else their equipment was set up rather precariously?

My Humble Setup

So here is my setup as of now. I don't even touch the CDJ's anymore. I think i'm pretty much done with it after I pick up a Korg Zero 8.

Re: My Humble Setup

You have all new CDJ's, Mixer and an EFX. If you were going all ableton, why did you buy all that other gear? (just curious)

I had all of the Pioneer stuff well before I went fully digital. I still use the EFX 1000, and the mixer is okay for now until something better comes along. I really don't need the CDJ's but am keeping them because I have friends that use them sometimes. If I could unload everything and not get hosed believe me I would. Everything works for me right now. All I need is a Zero 8 and a few other midi controllers and I should be good.

I love the rotary knobs, i'll never go back to faders. The DJM 800 isn't my favorite mixer but the alternatives are not very appealing to me right now, especially considering the fact that i'll lose a lot of $$$ if I sell the DJM. It's just not worth it. Once I find suitable midi controllers I can pretty much run everything through 2 channels, so the mixer won't be as important. Perhaps i'll pick up a Xone 92 at that point....

I use one to play full tracks and the other to launch efx clips
