Its fucking bullshit. Its almost July and I need a coat cause its windy and cool and rainy on my walk to school. I get out of class and its semi-blue skies and warm.

On a totally unrelated note, I just implemented unary operators in my compiler. Woot. Unary. It's a fun word to say.

I would think your YOGA MASTERING would lead you to more peace and tolerance, my brother. Maybe you should do more poses that we had to do in primary school gym class. Yes, this is the key to all ailments and spirituality. Cancer? Yoga. Fucked up back? Yoga. Forget all of the monumental advancements in health care that could lead you to living a completely pain free life. Just endure 10 years of yoga, which won't ever fix the problem. My you are an enlightened chap.

Or is it that you just wanted to make money off of poor saps who come to you to teach them how to do something that's pretty easy on its own. I guess that is a pretty good business strategy.

And I'm actually quite nice in real life. I just think it's amusing to poke fun at your faggotry.

Finally have summer vacation. 3 months of working-out, reading and gaming. Was a pretty good university year.

Fix your link!

That line work is really bad. Crooked lines all over the place. What a mess.

Weird, it showed up fine in your quote - but I fixed it anyway.

Posted by Desiderata on Jun-26-2013 22:36:

That is a huge cover up there. I would like to see some updates on this as it looks a bit tricky but do able for sure.

Posted by srussell0018 on Jun-26-2013 22:39:

The level of tiny detail is going to look like a big blob of color in 10 years.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-26-2013 22:40:

Yeah. She's a coverup queen - or as they call it - a turd polisher, haha.

I will post updates for sure - I am already so happy with it.

She said at least 50% of their clients are cover ups. So I guess after all this I'll have to offer up some fresh skin.

edit: I like how you can still see the scorpion atm in the feather there, lololol.

and faded too but that's all tats.

Just out of curiosity: How much does a tattoo the size of Jenny's cost?

Posted by srussell0018 on Jun-26-2013 22:42:

Most artists charge by the hour. Any good artist will be 100-200 an hour. I'd imagine the level of detail of hers would probably be about 4 hours because the line work looks rushed.

a couple grand I would imagine, probably more depending on the artist.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-26-2013 22:43:

It depends on the artist/their experience. She normally charges 150/hr but only charged me 120/hr, and for only 3 1/2 hrs. But I paid her 500 hundred anyway. So another couple of 4 hours sessions will end up costing me 1500 bucks. Very reasonable.

Not if you take good care of your skin. Sun is the number one cause of them fading so if you properly use sunblock they should retain their color a lot longer. I just say that with hers because it's such a huge level of detail in a very small area. That's just not going to age well, and most artists won't agree to do something like that (unless they just don't care) because they know it won't look well 10, 15, 20 years from now.

Posted by srussell0018 on Jun-26-2013 22:45:

lol 150 for that work is overpriced for sure. The skill involved in that whole piece (depending on the color work) probably shouldn't cost much more than $1,000. I hope that "artist" isn't calling that custom work, because I've seen that exact tattoo many times.

Well, the only reason I say that it fades is with the first tattoo I got was on my arm and I am not the type of guy that walks in the sun without a shirt and it is never exposed and then I didn't get another tattoo for 10 years but on the same arm making a mixed match type of halve sleeve and you can see the fadedness of the first one since they are right next to each other.

It's just the years, it doesn't look bad but it looks dull compared to.

That chicken's got an awfully long tail.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-26-2013 22:51:

Well you don't just get a tattoo and leave it, duh. If you want it to look good over time, you can expect to go back for touch ups eventually.

Posted by Desiderata on Jun-26-2013 22:52:

I knew Russel would go hard on Jenny. She posted pics though, so she isn't ashamed or scared of what is to be said but yes it is a traditional tattoo. I have seen many variasons myself. As long as the person getting the tattoo is ok with it I don't see any problem with either of ya'lls (texas here) art.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jun-26-2013 22:55:

I got the night off tonight too - so it turned out to be an even awesomer day than it already was.

edit: I mean, I would have been fine to go to work, but am glad that I can just relax and not bug my back.
