I too am wondering what truly happened, as I'm sure lots of other people are too. He most certainly know the girl in some way, so I think he know she is not one of those stupied gils that take this serious about MacDonalds and so on.. actually, its much better to make her laugh with your own words, rather than write some nerdy-ass letter.
