good morning cor. and good something later than morning, australians. in the middle of our 'heat wave' and it's totally unseasonable but living in an apartment sucks like this, so I've got up & opened all the windows at 6

We've had 3 days with rain in the last 5 weeks now, and as someone who's been here you must know about our 'April Showers' and how wet it usually is at this time of year. I'm not complaining because we've been able to do jobs i didn't think I'd have time to do before Canada and i've even begun to get a nice base tan

we've hit 40+C for three days in a row now. fuck you all.

Been 24-27C for the last few days, with an unseasonable low of 21-23C a few days ago. That was weird.

I'm so gonna get banned from stores soon

today, went into one and got most of what I needed, on the end aisle was the eggs and so I go for them & this woman who I'd estimate in her late 60s is blocking it with her trolley and her person. Dialogue:

Me: Excuse me
nothing
Me: Excuse me please
her: and what do YOU want?
me: half a dozen eggs and some manners
*survey shelves*

thankfully her breeding days should be long gone. My auntie & uncle are in their early 60s and are so much fun, but they never had kids & have travelled the world so maybe that's why.

The biggest threat to supermarkets here is pram-ragers. Basically get some scrubber with 1-3 kids, $400 pram the size of a small SUV and nothing to look forward to but a leaky bladder, droopy baps and offspring of most vile behavior for the next however many years.

Because they managed to convince someone to mate and produce offspring, they apparently have the right to run people over.

I haven't taken a day off of work in as long as I can remember (I think it was late January or something) and decided to kinda do so today (just work from home on some easy programming stuff, starting late). How I know I'm getting old:

-Without an alarm, I "slept in" to 9
-My plans for this glorious day consist of getting rid of moving boxes, going to Home Depot (for fun, not work), getting groceries, hanging a mirror and a print, and hooking up my tv.

Its sucks doesn't it. I have had about 7 days off since September (including christmas/NY) because I have been so busy with uni work. I cannot wait to be finished - only 6 weeks left. Finding it hard to summon the energy for this last little bit of my degree though.
