I like this. Really chill and atmospheric. I don't have any other feedback really other than nice song!

Starting out really nice. I immediately got into the arp. I think the mix could be a bit more balanced. The snare in the snare roll could maybe be a different sample. Overall sounding good so far!

Hey TA! I know this isn't the style of interest of most on this forum but here is a track me and my British m80 Josh Goodwill released. It is up for free download!

strings could use a notch down about 3k? the clap works but the snare a bit much? I like it man. but what he said about the snare and snare roll a diff sample, just go with some 808s! i think that would really work. but yeah the arp and melody and bass synth and arp synth are spot on, just balance the mix and try to change up that snare. the clap works though.

def. not much cup of tea but glad to see you're doing so well making stuff that you like, vocals are really good. the EDM synth stuff seems on point with that genre but it glitches along and doesn't really have much of a groove to me.

LOL!!!

You commented on a demonstration of some patches I made on my JD XA that I accidentally posted in the WIP thread, it was not a track.

Sorry about that.
This is the track I meant to post

Sounds very up to date mate, my next challenge I've had pencilled in is to make something with more up to date melody style and timing like this.

I've enjoyed some of your latest, but this one is just too basic for my ears mate, such as the timing and sound of the bass and chord stabs.

If you re-do them using more original timing / groove and sounds I would enjoy it I think.

Nice one, Darek.

My yesterday idea. It sounds a bit messed up to me now

Posted by gordan100 on Dec-18-2015 18:49:

Sound is very clean and pro. It goes nicely up to 1:30, but melody starting at that point does not do the justice to the rest of production imo

I also have this version, the deep lovers edit, and I prefer this edit personally.

I will do some feedback to others later

Much, much better.

Gordan if you develop it more I could get my head around it I think.

Is this good enough to send to labels, maybe trance labels? Apart from getting it pro mastered that is.

The upper bass and lower mids seem quite recessed; maybe backbus drier signals there.

Posted by soulstar606 on Dec-23-2015 09:32:

yea that sounds good you should send it to some labels.

Posted by gordan100 on Dec-27-2015 23:50:

Is it any good?

Posted by soulstar606 on Dec-28-2015 10:05:

you might want to lower the cutoff on the pad so it isnt so bright and in your face.....and sidechain it a bit to create pumping effect, and so it sits in the mix better

What kind of music is your goal?

It's got to be indie pop trance with a pinch of melancholic I don't know, just doing it for fun

Is this track better for Colours?

All synths analogue, don't know if it shows or not though.

Not mastered

I like it Richard, it may take some serious mixing and mastering to get it to the release level but melodically speaking sounds really solid.

Also around 3+ min mark I would try to slow it down (to half of your BPM) for 16+ bars to make it interesting.

Sound separations will be very big job in this WIP.

Darek you keep saying tracks of mine needs serious mixing, makes me think I must be deaf or something. Can you tell me what you mean real clearly as this comment of yours is bewildering me a lot.

I really made everything sound separate.
Now maybe you mean the bass takes up much bandwith but this is what UK DnB does. Its not like a simple offbeat bass which is easy to fit.

I was looking for an easy wash of sound not some big stuck out plucks. When I check your mixes they don't seem clearer to my ears, or maybe I'm just no good listening properly
