Like this, really diggin that clav. Matter of fact I am liking all the elements. That stab hit with the Cornet is very cool. Has a very Jazzy Loungy feel.
If I had to critique anything it would be the bass line. Not so sure about it. Blended together with all the elements it is nice but as the front runner it is somewhat obtrusive

Very nice Darek, i like everything. Kick maybe needs some very slight adjustment. Can't here bassline problem Phil mentioned. Did you play the guitar at the end?

Thanks Phil for your comment - as far as bass line, I made a mistake the way is seating in the track (way under-volume) with my eq off lol so yeah your comment is right man - glad you like this idea so far

Cheers,

Darek

Thanks man and no I did not played this classic guitar (as I don't have one, only electrical). Also kick will have some basic eq adjustment in final stage to add some needed dynamics to it

Darek

I like this. Had the same concernes about the bassline, but I guess thats sorted then. Im not too keen on the trumpets, but thats just personal preference.

Love the atmosphere and your soundselection.

like this...
Very ambient toneage.
I can't help think though that a break beat or d&b drum style wouldnt be more suited. Or...no percussion at all perhaps?

Thanks! Yeah, i'm not sure about drums either. Well, here is the track without drums if you want to try

Try to add this type of drums (listen to this track below from 1:05 to about 1:35) - it has potential to be really cool production man. I have quite a few product from James collected over last few months which help improve quality of my production a lot - definitely will recommend his stuff .

Cheers,

Darek

They got nice reviews, looking cool and pretty good price. Here in Croatia the price is almost double than in Canada though. I'm thinking about buying a sub, i would love to have a bit more bass roaring from down there.

I like it. I have a feeling that arp at 1:19 is loosing in some parts competing with stringpad, maybe should be a tad louder or clearer

Beginning reminded me a bit on the one you should publish if you didn't yet.

Posted by MSZ on Dec-07-2018 00:45:

yea I feel that, its congested in a bad way, also the bass is not very good. I worked on it a little more, but the bass still not satisfactory. there are a few pops in this version I have removed since due to lazy quantization. I think I need to cut some mids here, and re-do the bass, change out the high-hats so they're not so static. But other than that im probably at my limits for now, maybe the next track will come out better when the monitors will be in use.

I gave it to some label, I think they forgot about it. dont really care to release anything unless I jump a few levels of quality first.

I'm enjoying the pads in particular and when that lil vocal kicks in but I dont like that synth thereafter as the mix sound busy

I think you have a decent piece here, just get the drums and bass a little more prominent maybe?
