I like this more then the other Demo track, the first one I can rebuild in my mind, this one I can't. It sounds very rich..

Actually using the K701s more this time and getting interesting results.

Interesting in that they really are showing me how shit my room is. Meh.

really good imo. i just wish you would turn these cool ideas into full tracks!!

Thanks chaps.

I haven't really made a full dance track for a few years now so I need to get my ear in again.

I may well turn this one into a full track 'mix' demo as a bit of practise again

Same here, I just can't seem to do it and lose interest in what ever I start. Great demo btw but you know that already lol..

Aye the 701s, that's all I use. In fact it's down to you I have them after you give the heads up on them from Thomann so I owe you one.

They really have made a massive difference in my mixes so cheers

my first track after finishing my studies, all opinions appreciated

Just finished this tune in a lot of hours. Its raw as fuck. The breakdown melody is tuned out of key little bit so I'l fix that later but could you comment other things as well.

The sample that starts at 1.17 doesn't really fit with the rest IMO, also sounds slightly out of tune. The break is an absolute turd. Can't say anything about the mix, on laptop speakers atm.

Thanks.

Anybody else here thinks the breakdowns sucks? hehe

Updated, new pads, breakdown melody and moved a octave on a sound and did better arranging. What u think now? sucks?

Here's the big bomber Quantum Break, updated.

My critical listening duty will be paid this very evening.

It's not out of tune anymore, but the break is still a single-note pad with a choir behind it and 3 times the same riser and cymbal effect. I don't think it is interesting enough.

Sounding good.

Mix is tight, kick is solid and the synth parts work well.

I can't help feeling that this is an instrumental version of something that originally had vocals though, like a part of the track that gives it progression is missing.

Nice track and great groove but for me a techno track needs some sort of personality stamp in order to stand out from all those that a merely a collection of pro loops. Something like a home made chant or some sort of journey theme maybe. Lurve that kik.

Nice mixing mate but I agree the track needs more interest to give a sense of journey, anticipation and payload / resolving.

Probably would be a good warm up track though.

You haven't provided feedback for the last 2 tracks you've posted.

Big rich soundscape you got going - are you going to drop in a big driving bass at some point?
