I already said that in another thread. Troll is stupid, but people responding are even more stupid. Although it's mostly Looney4Clooney, so I'm not that surprised.

I love watching two lunatics go at it.

Like you don't suffer from anything? LOL.

Argh, three people in a row quote my grammatical error. Ritual suicide it is.

I'm reading some poems by Lord Byron and at certain places besides the text there are numbers. I've seen this in several books and thought there were some kind of translation marks, but the book is in English so it hasn't been translated.

Anyone has any idea what it might be?

I understand your view and why it would make sense to an uninformed person, however these pathologies enter the realm of disabilities to the point where said people cannot function at all anymore. And this is not only psychosis related, mostly neurosis.

have you ever experienced it personally?

what people term "psychosis" ?

all great philosophers and most intelligent people would advise you the same thing.

"do not comment on things which you have not experienced personally, for you know nothing of them, and nothing about them"

you do not have more knowledge than me on this. do not assume you do. do not call me "uninformed" when you lack experience. the studies you try to learn are all external based.

you cannot observe how a person actually feels. especially when they're unresponsive or the feelings they have are hard to be expressed in words.

studying the brain is not studying the mind or consciousness itself.

No, and I really hope never to go through it. Regardless on what your opinion might be, it's uninformed and uncultivated since you lack any contact with such patients and further more, the events you previously described can be interpreted in several manners which - again - have to do with experience.

True, reason why I'm studying C.G Jung's work in my spare time.

But technology will catch up with that as well. Just like psychoses were seen as either religious, cultural, symbolic- related, through the advancement of imagistics, we are drawing closer to its understanding.

it just pisses me off when all these people reading books think they know something about real life.

empiricism = EXPERIENCE.

reading books =||= experience.

I advise you to re-read what was previously posted:

I haven't read a book on the subject, I was a part of their life and reality.

Oh, yea.

By the way, been meaning to ask: I remember you commented on several occasions on Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein", but can't recall whether your had positive or negative things to say about it

i dont have opinions of it. i have experience of it.

empiricism. experience leads to knowledge.

so until you personally go through something, you're the only one with opinions of it.

i have had contact with patients, and studied how the doctors tried treatments. which basically was "prescribing newer pills"

i just want to make a note that you should stop being one of those
people who is reading books thinking you know something about real life.

reality is much different than the theories which you read about it.

then why were you saying you've already read the ebook on the topic and just wanted to buy the hardcopy

for your "shelf"

Omg all the sane people in this thread please stop.

There are theories I read about and there are facts. As long as a treatment does what it's supposed to, its raison d'être is fufilled. Empirism is a nice way to go about it, but in the vast world of science it's unpractical.

I can tell you there is nothing knowledgeable or socially rebellious to having a psychosis and killing a 6 month-old baby - like one of our patients.

Second of all, it's obvious you try different treatments, especially when neuroleptics are syndrom-based. Add to this the multitude of adverse effects, resistance to specific active substances and you have the reason why "doctors prescribe the newest pills".

Because I like to be well-informed. Or you think I should engage into emirism by testing epigenetic techniques on myself. wat

I was gonna add that only you were missing, but I don't like to make fun of the mentally disabled.
