This is Nou we're talking about. Ya know, the one that girl ran away from?

Posted by OrangestO on May-22-2013 17:57:

I get a 40-year-old who has hit a slump or just gotten divorced trying to use e-dating, but a guy in college? Mind boggling. There's plenty of different girls from all spectrums to satisfy your tastes, even if you're unattractive and socially awkward.

Seattle is a bit different.

*edit*

I mean in that there are tons of young people that use dating sites.

Seattle Freeze and what not. We generally don't talk to each other here.

Eh Nou, couldn't find a suitable partner here on TA?

Posted by OrangestO on May-22-2013 20:17:

Seems fishy...

my employee told me her tax preparer mentioned that it didn't make sense to work overtime because she would get taxed more. lol.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on May-23-2013 01:23:

Could that be true, though? She could be sidling the limit of her current bracket, no?

Posted by Joss Weatherby on May-23-2013 01:30:

sidling.

Sounds like someone doesn't know how tax brackets work.

Unrelated. The only relation the two have is that instead of accurately pulling out the right medication from the shelves and repackaging them, I'm accurately pulling out the right electrical parts from the bins and packaging them lol

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on May-23-2013 02:56:

Ooh right, I forgot you had mentioned at some point you went to school to be a certified pharmacy tech. See, Stu? I told you he was not a total fuck-up. (Don't listen to Stu, man)

EL HEAT >>>>

Lmao ah I just heard a conversation that I assume was way out of context. If not then it was really creepy hahaha.

Posted by Joss Weatherby on May-23-2013 07:45:

Ugh feeling tired but not being able to sleep sucks.

Also my tongue tastes like sponge... Not sure how that even makes sense but it does.

That was an insane game. All time classic. 30 points 10 rebounds 10 assists, 50% shooting, 3blk, and the buzzer beater in OT. Can't get more clutch than that.

Posted by srussell0018 on May-23-2013 15:43:

He's no Dirk.

Posted by ziptnf on May-23-2013 16:23:

No, he's better than Dirk.

Nobody else will be as effective of a stretch 4 like Dirk was though. He's probably the greatest international player of all time next to Pau Gasol.

Posted by srussell0018 on May-23-2013 16:25:

Over his career, he's way better than Pau. Pau can't make 3's like Dirk can/could. I also don't think he's nearly as good of a free throw shooter.

Posted by ziptnf on May-23-2013 16:27:

Pau dominates in the low/high post much better than Dirk, I think. Kobe and Pau seriously took care of business in 09/10. Kobe had the perimeter and mid-range on lockdown and Pau controlled the paint. Also, look at the Olympics (gold medal match). Pau was constantly double-teamed by the best players in the world and he was still owning them. It took heroics from LBJ/KD to close it out.

I gotta say, though, the Mavericks run in 2011 through the Lakers (swept), the Thunder, and the Heat was probably one of the most epic playoff runs in history. Dirk went absolutely apeshit.

Posted by srussell0018 on May-23-2013 16:33:

He's gone apeshit for most of his career, but most people never noticed because he played on teams that weren't great and never really did anything in the playoffs (some of which can be attributed to him). He's also a lot more of a team player than Pau imo. I can't see Pau playing through the flu and things like that.

In terms of his shot though, I doubt there will ever be another 7 footer who can match Dirk's stroke.

Posted by ziptnf on May-23-2013 16:38:

Heh... 7 footer...

Yeah, his stats are remarkably consistent. Dirk is the real deal.
