Oi. I got to drive across two bridges in the middle of a thunderstorm. Im sitting in my truck and the wind moving it around well. the drive should be smashing fun.

I drove through Jotunheimen (Home of the Giants) two weekends ago. At one point the wind took ahold of the car and smashed us right into the snow bank to the left of us. It was about 10-15 cm's of sideways travel, pretty shocking to say the least.

Drive safely

I like driving in the rain. But, yeah, what Alfi said!

Glad no one got hurt

No one got hurt, right?

I've got a feeling where I want to destroy everything I've touched.

Just keep your hand out of your pants then!

By the way, I wouldn't do that if I were you, Cliff. You never know if the things you've touch will fight back

My law exam is tomorrow morning.

I need an 81 to pass and graduate.

*crosses fingers*

Posted by Silky Johnson on Dec-04-2012 00:43:

You have to cross your fingers to get 81%? Good luck then, lol.

Good thing you've had the last week off TA to study I assume that was done on purpose?

Bingo!

And it worked, too.

You really don't comprehend the amount of time you waste on an Internet forum until your account gets suspended.

Self-control was never a strength of mine

LOL, yeah I figured you must have guessed I'd suspend you for that

So the company that makes the platform I have been working on for the last 3 years released their public pricing: https://store.bisimulations.com/software

Your tax dollars at work (and I mean pretty much everyone here, unless you live in like China or Russia).

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Dec-04-2012 01:37:

That's all pretty standard for software development pricing, though. I mean, even if you only have 5 programmers at $50,000/year, and it takes you 5 years to develop your product... that's just how it is.

Most western countries have multiple enterprise licenses for military training.

I knew the seat cost, but damn, never knew the enterprise cost was that much and was subscription based.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Dec-04-2012 01:48:

When you are selling to such an exclusive and specific market though, subscription entails nonstop updates and technical support. Like they have to pay at least 3 or 4 people to just provide support for their product, so at 130k per year, their bottom line is probably quite close.

Most of it goes to trainers (mostly ex-military who go around and specialize in teaching the software, and how to best use it). Their updates are fairly far and few between, well... public updates.

But yea, I've been thinking about picking up a commercial license for a while for myself, because my current license is through the publisher for our project and I want to do some additional work on the side (also our publish is slow as crap and I don't think I've even heard from anyone there in a year...)

Hopefully I can get away with a single seat and not have to pick up a DN license.
