here is my setup
pioneer djm 500
2x technics 1210's mk2
2x stanton c.304's
1x sony mdr v700
2x kam monitor speakers
thats a nice home studio man
How are the stanton cd decks?
My setup in my Apartment, playing for the wall...
2 x CDJ 800
1 x Allen & Heath Xone 62
1 x Pioneer EFX 500
1 x Pioneer HDJ 1000
Power Mac G4 w/ dual 1.0 Ghz processors and 1024MB Ram
Not pictured: Various, semi-cheap (mostly M-Audio) MIDI controllers, that I'm still trying to get used to and working properly...
Adding another CDJ (Got addicted to having 3 to play with when I stayed with Myra over break!), Alesis Monitors, and a KP2 in the next couple months...
Here are a couple quick shots of my setup. I bought the desk thing for $40 at a Best Buy fixture sale, far and away my favorite "cool find".
if its not obvious, i dont use the turntables much anymore.
2x Pioneer CDJ-200
2x Stanton Str8-60
1x Stanton RM3s
1x Sony MDR-V700
nothin special.

Originally posted by DFOP04 yeh good shout mate, but to be honest with you the good £2500+ money ive spent on vinyl alone in the past 2 years towards the music industry im hardly gonna download my music, unlike some people on this board i pay for the music that i spin! the reason im getting serato is yeh vinyl is too god dam expensive, but there is a cheaper way to get music, from the likes of beatport etc. which im sure your well aware of. i dont have to argue my reason, im fully aware of p2p software, but it aint my game, i support the scene that i love, enough said. max |

Originally posted by skip BUT if you're ripping your vinyl and then selling it it's essentially the same than if you just went and downloaded everything from p2p in the first place. |
i can see what skip is saying -> making two copies of one tune and reselling for profit, but surely the majority of ssl/fs users are doing this, thats the whole point, i mean even the promo vids (ssl/fs) are practicly saying 'get rid of all the vinyl you have, you wont need it anymore'.
i put money on 99% of ssl/fs users doing the exact same thing.
i just cant be dealing with having all the vinyl i have taking up all the space, it just makes sense. and im not going to burn them.

i know that you can do it with the pioneers you can on the 800 aswell BUT you cant change the release rate thats all.the reason i was saying the stanton 304's are the newer version of the pioneers was because they have a hell of a lot more features then any of the pioneer cd decks (well accept for MP3 compatability).
BUT when pioneer bring out there new cd deck im sure they will have the same features on them as the stanton c304's.
