If nothing is mixed what should we comment on? Arrangement and sound selection is a matter of taste.
Hey don't forget about being in key! ehe

thanks guys. i was trying to figure out what i could add to make the intro not so empty, but might have to do a bit of mixing and put some reverb up on the hats (and swing) as suggested to fill in some space. thanks for the tips!
evo8 yea i'm still working out some better pattern for the 808ish bassline and then i'll pull it back into the mix

Originally posted by vercetti Yes. A major one. Here's my try to make a chilled house track. I did my average, turned out "I don't even know what subgenre it should fit in", any ideas? |

Originally posted by Robotrance i like the intro, id work around that. keep it simple. i enjoy the "ride along" better though. id actually love to remix both of these. |

Originally posted by Richard Butler Reminds me of the lucozade advert track a lot which oddly enough I made a version of. Sounds good to me, but will need lots of quirky variation to be really good but knowing you this will all be done anyway. |
Ok the track is way more done now, I personally like break 2 and the drop there.
Any feedback on anything, mix etc is very welcome.
fuck me Richard, thats a really good track you've made. Well done!
Hats off to you sir!!
The only thing I'm not liking is the stutter edits at the start, its a little over used but that really is me just nitpicking.

Just a little melodic idea which hunting me for awhile - I guess I'm still not set on this bass line which I believe could be more driving but sounds good (at least for me) so far - lets see if you agree?

If Trance is not clicking with you guys then this may lol - still lots of things will have to be adjust (like a structure of this track) but you could definitely hear this idea

Darius nice melodic work in the trance track there but your second track is like the background to a 1989 Jackie Chan movie as he creeps through the Chinese laundry looking for a thief, lol! But maybe that's what you intend, is this designed for gaming or something?

Originally posted by kadomony I like it. Melody gets a bit distracting at 1:04, maybe save the more complex section for transitional parts or a break. It's just building up on the delay too much. The rest is awesome though! |
Still waiting on Geoff to get to the bottom of my bass line and suggest recreating it from the scratch lol - your turn Mr "TehLord"
Darek
This wip's structure is pretty much the same from the other ones, just regular modern progressive. I just made this one for kick placement will get to epic 90's like structure after.
