'98 vs. '99
hello everyone,
someone's just after tellin me that 98 was a better year for Trance, personally i always thought '99 was better.
anyways, i want to prove him wrong (he's opposing my views on my very own message board!!), so i want to prove him wrong
which year was better?
..bit of a stupid thread, but it has to be done
From the top of my head, 99, since Hallucinogen released The Lone Deranger then.
Oh wait, the first Shpongle album came out in 98!
What a hard choice.
dunno, this dude's bein a bit arrogant, sayin "trust me, I should know.."
who he think he is? friggin dildo..
Arrogant? In that case, you can just prove him wrong by naming that Hallucinogen album. There's really no more speech needed.
If he was nice, you'd need some base for your arguments, but not in this case.
how the fuck can u prove it either way?
99 had zombie nation, so must be the winner
there is music discussion room u know

THANK YOU!
Bulgarian is 1998 I think, I have it on an M-Zone tape from Oct 98 anyway
i think 97 kicks both of their asses actually hehehe...some legendary tunes released that year. but yeah 1996-1999...best time evar!!!!
Sorry to ressurect this thread, but I was listening to GU13 recently and I have to say without a doubt 1999 was a good year!
Think mods should move this to music forum!
i dont know, according to that list, I like 99 better
99'
nuff sed
That's like asking if horse shit smells better than donkey shit.
And if someone told me that a year was better and proceeded to tick off a bunch of tracks i'd laugh in his or her face. Come up with a real concrete explanation to back up your opinion, not just a bunch of random tracks that you think are good.
DJ Taucher : Child Of The Universe (Sanvean)
this is what cheese is all about..man i hated that song
but lets get a contest going...callin all ta djs...98-99 mix...get to it!
ok maybe i can settle this. What year was Sandstorm released?
ps
you'd have to be the biggest donkey's ass to spend time arguing whether 98 was better than 99, they were both gr8
i dont think the years should be judged so much by what was released, but what was going on with the music and the scene entirely.
i'd have to say 99 wins.
I think GU12, GU13 and GU14 were released in 1999, and they were awesome CDs!
I think 99 also, that's when I first started listening to trance.
1998

Originally posted by Radagast Are you being and idiot on purpose? What you consider good music someone else considers crap. It doesn't matter what tracks come out in each year. The question wasn't which year has better tracks. The question was which year was better for trance. Those are two different questions, with two different answers. The former can (and is fairly regularly on these forums) be answered with pure opinion. The latter should be answered with opinion backed up by fact. I don't even give a damn which of those two years were better, since I don't consider those years great for trance in any way. |
