Yeah I love it that way, most of the times I want to be able to watch the mixer so I run the sequencer and the effects & synths in my main monitor.
It also gives a very good feel as to wich channel on the behringer controller I'm controlling at the moment.

The only thing I want now is new monitors (saving up for a pair of genelecs) and a new soundcard (saving up for a motu firewire soundcard)

ohh and just to tease a little, I got the smaller monitor (17") for free sometimes girlfriends really rock!

LMFAO!

about Vizay - didn't get the thing with the paper on the tweeter... why? low pass (paper) filter? hehe

Posted by Vizay on Jan-13-2007 00:53:

yeah it's what I like to call a true analogue filter!

Nah but seriously speaking, thoose big speakers are utter shite soundwise, I only use them as stands for my ESI nEar monitors

and they are basicly just a noisy stand for my über mooses standing on them!
I tell ya once and for all, it isn't a true bedroom studio unless it has a lava lamp and a couple of mooses!

Posted by 3rd Signal on Jan-13-2007 11:40:

LOL
I got an old lava lamp in my room and just decided to put it on the table hahaha...looks cool but still no output for it so I can't use it...darn...
anyhow, the speaker stands idea is kinda bad I think, they are way too high there bro, the mid-low speaker shouldn't be above your ear afaik.

Posted by Vizay on Jan-13-2007 20:07:

they are about 2cm over my earheight, I'm 198cm tall mate

I like that alot, but I noticed you don't have a mixer. Where do you plug all your hardware into? Does your external audio interface on the floor have like a million in and outs?

Not quite a million, but 48 in and out of various flavors... analog, adat-optical, tdif-tascam digital, stereo toslink s/pdif optical, AES/EBU digital, and coax s/pdif digital.

All zero latency monitoring so i can pretty much run whatever into those interfaces and monitor from there.

Posted by Fledz on Jan-15-2007 22:43:

Wow, that must be one hell of an audio interface. What brand and model?

Posted by CReddick on Jan-15-2007 22:47:

Its a MOTU 2408mk2 and 308 run on their PCI-424e system.

Get the Ti ..

Posted by deceptikon on Jan-16-2007 03:42:

I can't justify just under 4k for one synth tbh. But then again I got a fairly good deal on the C from a friend of a friend. The TI is definitely a beast but I'm happy with the C
