Let's get one thing straight. Massive internationals are there mainly for their productions, NOT their DJing.
Rare is the superstar who doesn't have big releases (Eddie being the only one who springs to mind).
You can be the best mixer on the planet and rave about how awesome your mixes are and how you do everything live but it's still probably not going to get you anywhere.
i did an anthem mix for my sister, and fuck me if it wasn't the worst bedroom mixing id done in a while. perhaps i should use ableton
beatmatching is for fags.

Originally posted by Lister Cooray Lol fair enough mate but im pretty sure most ppl would rather be touring around the world and being renowned as an industry leader then being a local. Doesn’t mean that we don’t do it for fun and enjoyment too because that’s how it all starts. I personally wanna get somewhere but that doesn’t mean I will. However I do take notice of what internationals are doing because they are internationals for a reason – whatever reason that may be. |
only just finished the studio mate so give me some time!!

Originally posted by Lister Cooray lol exactly. this mix was a promo for a night i have started. you guys have actually used it to judge our dj ability and style. maybe we shouldnt have put on our name it lol nick and i are actually putting together a 3 dics promo as we speak so maybe judge us on that if ya like. luke fair and hernan emailed me back saying they like the mix and they can see where music is headed in the next 6 months. luke was even talking about this at dinner last tuesday so i think i'd probably take their comments into a bit more consideration then others. BUT all feedback is welcomed! i see what your saying soups, i prefer to mix live too but this is not a promo for us!!! its for my night! |
