Originally posted by Richard Butler I had you in mind when making this. The thing is with DnB the bassline usually handles the low end, with the kick being more of a chest punch higher up the scale. You wouldn't believe the efforts I go to on this! Without really massive sidechaining on the bass line I don't know how I could give the kick much more low end ooopmf? I could of course play bass notes around the kick but I like the constant bass line you get in a lot of D N B now. Any thoughts on this? |
I agree with evo.. The track is mixed very well and sounds good but the whole low end is missing. The kick and even the bass is making no impact at all.

Originally posted by Richard Butler Nice sound overall mate. I want to hear a distinctive track from you now rather than this fairly static film score with a kick drum. Like your mixing. |

back to some techno, this is more of a full-on track as opposed to some of the more stripped down stuff ive been doing this past couple of weeks

Originally posted by evo8 think you posted this before but how and ever, yeah not bad - just be careful on the low-mids as sounds a bit heavy there, make sure to check your mixes on different playback devices, ive got a sony hi-fi in the shed which shows up a lot of low-mid problems |

Originally posted by UrbanNinja I hardly concentrated on the mix down, however I changed the kick, added new pads, side chained the baseline, and this isn't a best play back in every system thread. I guess you really care about every nuance in your rendering. This is TA, please LOL, not the TA label submission thread. |

Don't know what to do with this one.
All opinions are welcome, positive and negative.
Is very probable that the mix literally sux on this one.

Originally posted by Richard Butler A fine dance track imo. Like the way you change the bass notes down slightly earlier than one would typically expect - this adds an interest as it makes you want to try and guess where they go on the next cycle round. Now SC has stalled 2.50 in, damn. |

Originally posted by TranceElevation It didn't stall, there simply isn't any SC. I never sidechain. |

Originally posted by Andy28 I don't think he meant that Nice sounding track, very old school reminds me a lot Veracocha. Mix sounds good. Any thoughts on the mix of this? |

Didn't go for any specific lead, just put something I thought would fit.

Here is the continuation of a wip I posted some months ago.
Maybe I'll finish it some day, we'll see.
