i don't agree. IMO mixing happens mostly on the mixer. i had a vestax pcv-175 rotary before the xone.
i have been thinking about upgrading the CDJs though. but i'll most likely get rid of them instead and get a second TT and traktor scratch.

Gotta love the ghetto party setup after transferring lots of equipment from multiple houses. Twas a crazy night of spinning for 7 hours and 40 minutes.

Went to Ikea yesterday. If you guys are looking for a cheap table get the Galant. It has adjustable legs so you can bring it up pretty high and can even prop the back ones up higher so the table is at a slant facing you. Tons of options for colors and sizes too. I'll post pics once everything is set up

I wanted something with internal filters...

I don't like the DJM800 on the first sight, so my first opinion was this Xone:92

I allready had three external filters (1x Stanton DJF-1 and two Alesis Philtres) buth i wanted to simplify my home booth with this all in one solution....

The reason going to linear again was clearly because i can spin my 80's records again, that was the only probl with rotaries.

Posted by Wraith on Jan-22-2008 00:03:

My humble setup...

1X A&H Xone:92 (Rotary)

2X CDJ-200

1X MDR-7506

1X M-Audio Audiophile USB

^^

The night shot is beautiful ! As a Xone92 owner also, <3 XONE

I'm planning on getting rid of my old Panasonic SA-AK300 speakers soon and get KRK RP6...I bought wall mounts so my speakers are directly on front of my dj kit and the sound is now nearly perfect (with the KRK it will be!). Once I got the KRKs you'll get pictures I won't show my old school Panasonic hehe

Just finished a mix with my friend (and roomate also). Man I love mixing...

Posted by Wraith on Jan-22-2008 07:32:

It is such a joy to mix on. I've only had it for a little over a month, but I absolutely love it. The filters are amazing and I can't get enough of the rotary faders. It just seems like I can do so much more with them than linear faders.

My next upgrade is the same as yours though. I have it running through a crappy Aiwa stereo so I'm looking to get some RP6's and some stands whenever my bank account recovers.

Haha, nice. Are there any benefits to the different sized timecode vinyl? Or is it just for the (can't buy these!!!) factor?

Posted by DjWoody on Jan-23-2008 06:44:

Nah! No benefit. Actually, out of all the vinyls I prefer the white ones. They're heavier and they track a lot better than the regular ones. Surprisingly enough, I don't have any of the colored ones, red, blue, gold, green, etc. But that will change very soon. lol

Don't you think your serato obsession has gone far enough?

So, which DVS do you recommend?
