Because you make brilliant music but don't seem to want to get it out there!
I know we like to say we just do it for the love of the art but I dunno, I think it's a little sad when we discover a load of great art in a loft after some unknown dies.

Thanks and congrats for signing tracks. This is very nice Rich, love the drums and bass, and your singing sounds pretty good here, much better than when you use vocoder on your voice

Ha thanks, I do love a vocodarrr

I've done a lot of work on the track, here's new version, still some fx and risers to add. Added a little reverb to the snare.

Bass I struggled with for yrs, but me and my Roland JDXa love making bass together and it just seems to fit well into my tracks

well thanks for the kind comment Rich

yeah true - I don't do any promotion, I just like making music, where would i even start lol

Posted by evo8 on Oct-30-2018 21:33:

I went back to this earlier version for this one (part 1 of 3 tracks I did recently)

cool you are still using that JDXa - how do you find it these days?
nice one on the signings, nice open sound and quite weird in places!

Cheers yes, some work yet to do on my weirdy track lol!

I cant stay away from my JDX, its just so rewarding for me personally. I'd love a Dave Smiths big ole synth too tbh but I have massive stress right now and cash flow issues as I've been heavily investing in my new business - the water feature design and build stuff, totally daunting - who would have thought water has to be finely tuned to stick and flow just right down a stainless steel wall!

ime if you can just stick with a decent synth then you will keep finding new ways of using it and what it's strengths are - I have a dominion one and whilst I have tried to use it as a bass machine I keep finding that it seems to be better at leads and more melodic sounds

I have trashed 3 or 4 latest songs, didn't even post them here even though i'm shameless usually. This one is decent i guess

sorry mate - know the feeling all too well :-/

Speaking of Trashing..lol Here are two tracks I am still contemplating.
Both are mere beginning arrangement, still very raw. Haven't really touched composition stage.
Wondering if I should continue to develop

Yeah First track is bad, sounds to me like some beginner did it, sorry. But second one is pretty, pretty good, sounds almost there, really like the arp and piano, bass is nice, melodies are nice. Genre is not important. It's like two different people made this songs Nice one!

Agree with Richard - Circuit Test is the way to go Phil but I would level appropriately your drums with the rest (melodic elements like arp and piano and bass also a bit) for more sound balance - this has potential if finish right way man, nice one

Thanks for the tips all as always..
Yea, both tracks aren't even really formed yet, I mean partially I guess. Haven't even got through my arrangement auditioning yet. Not totally sold on some of the tones being used

Posted by gordan100 on Nov-17-2018 00:19:

Is it bad?

Posted by SystematicX1 on Nov-19-2018 00:00:

Hmmm...You take it down Gordan?

Well, it's up again, but i'm not sure if the track is something more than a flanger test

Posted by SystematicX1 on Nov-19-2018 17:36:

Ah Gotcha...Listening I was like "Um....Flanger? I don't here any flanging..lol" Then I heard that pad. Pad sounds cool but that bass line seemed to take the lead role and pronounced your track.

Just a bit on Jazzy site lol - moved slightly from Lounge /Chillout - let see if anybody will appreciate this WIP (still rough around corners)

Cheers,

Darek
