No, I comprehend it just fine...it was just difficult to understand why YOU would say that.
Believe this or not, I follow alot of threads here without posting my thoughts. I especially keep tabs on certain individuals ,like yourself on what they have to say.
Seeing someone, who is respected, diss another person for there opinion or likeness of any music (whether you,myself or anyone else likes it or not)is just plain sad. Especially if it is an expression of someones physical and mental artistic interpretation.
What I am trying to say is, if you don't like something...well, we are all entitled to our likes and dislikes,but don't knock on someone because they have different tastes,regardless of your opinion.

Constantin already pointed out that your argument is invalid. The term pop is not casual. Mass and quality music are oxymoron.

And already told you. I despise that genre. So don't come again asking yourself why would I say something similar. My disgust for that thing is so strong that I had to express it, externalize it.

You guys are amazing. All I'm going to say is that the average fan of Skrillex Is an awful lot more open to new sound aesthetics than the average trance fan.

Being "open" to something implies a "choice", someone with reason or personality could make. I doubt the average dubstep fan goes that far. Imo they simply react instinctively to stimuli.

and then this is what ive been predominately trying to make - something more on the dubbier side......

The first one has a nice deep and big kick with a great groove, the 2nd clip not my cup of tea.



Changed Structure, added new kick, changed final lead, rearranged samples.

Ev8 my nigga that first one is bomb, not really interested in dubby sounds though, unless its something along the lines of this.

First track reminds me a lot of old crasher style trance really good stuff. The drums sound great, first had a listen on my phone speaker when I was out this morning and they really cut through.

@paulino

Condense it all to about 2mins, add a hook and you have an intro! As it is, you have nearly 5 minutes of a track where nothing really happens.

yeah i know i suck at uplifting, i think i'm ok at regular progressive

Evo your first track does nothing for me mate, the second one is better but not for me anything like as good as other stuff of your lately.


Paulino I listened to your progressive track and as ever nicely mixed, now you just need to come up with a melody as at the mo you tend to have a beat with a basic background ambient synth wall.

I think they are both excellent and sound as quality as anything you would here a top trance or techno label put out.

i just don't get why you make those high pitched squeals a focus. I mean they have been done ad nauseam during the hardhouse days of tidy trax, that was in 1999. Then they were done in hardstyle. And they are always regarded as terrible what the fcuk were we on type sounds.

sit in a room with that single sound on repeat for 5 minutes. I just dson't get why you have it there. Like were you just lazy or did this track really nead it ?
