he often has great guests as well. you don't even have to trainspot, he calls the tracks out. For a newb it will help cut to the chase and expose some artists outside of the predominantly cliche rhodes house that dominates beatport.

Here are a couple of my fav deepy mixes....

If you're just starting out into deep house, be sure to check out Timewriter. All of his albums are worth checking out imo, especially Soulstickers.

I like the crossover between tech-house, deep house and prog. And I also love that track. I don't care if it adheres to a formula or goes way outside the lines. "Good" is the only criteria that matters imo.

Posted by WittyHandle on May-11-2012 20:57:

Based off his previous posts of what he likes, Romchick seems to be coming from the prog & tech side of things, so I'm basing my suggestions on that.

Posted by zyklon-jay on May-11-2012 21:02:

that's nice and all and imma let you finish but look at the thread title. if you are going to get a noob into deep house play tech house...got it

Posted by WittyHandle on May-12-2012 00:49:

Thread title aside, the intent of the thread is to make suggestions for someone looking for new music of a certain sound. Deep house is a fairly wide umbrella.

Roman, can you put up some examples of the kind of sound you're looking for?

Posted by Scoops on May-12-2012 01:25:

Christos Fourkis is a name to be on the look for....his sound is great

Grant Nelson is an all time fav

Grant Nelson is the man. On that recommendation, I'll definitely Christos Fourkis

I'm really beginning to think that you guys are racist with all of this honky cracker house.

Posted by zyklon-jay on May-12-2012 03:07:

but if you guys insist on white people then tornado wallace.
