Monster Massive -- NO REFUND YET - Go Ventures and DJ Reza Sux!
I sent my refund request to Go Ventures for MM hard tickets via US mail back in October. I've heard NOTHING from them and they have not responded to my follow up email to their website. Another friend of mine is having the same problem. I hope those incompetent thieves go bankrupt. No wonder Insomniac won't work with them anymore.
Anyone else have the same experience with hard ticket refunds?
just a hint, send things like that via certified mail only. They will respond quicker
Same here. I got a generic "We're working on all of the refunds blah blah blah" e-mail sent to me.
I have copies of everything I sent, thankfully, but this really is annoying.
i e-mailed and got an immediate refund?
sorry to hear, i didn't realize some people were still waiting on this. even though i got a refund, goventures will never get another penny of mine after that business
e: didn't see you had hard tickets, that's a different story

I'm experience the same problem as you. I bought a hard ticket and still haven't received my refund!!
I sent in my refund form as soon as I heard Monster Massive was cancelled. They have been non-responsive to e-mails as well. Looking at the the Monster Massive page on facebook it looks like lots of people are experiencing the same problem.
My friend asked one the people who works at Go Ventures, this person named GUNNY GO, and it started getting defensive and called her bitch, etc.

Evan Gunny being a prick? No way???
Next thing you are going to tell me is that Whitney Houston is dead...
People should band together and file a lawsuit.

I just remembered this week that I have yet to receive a refund. Glad I found a thread in TA that discusses this. I received an email back in November stating that it will take 30 business days for refunds to be sent out for hard tickets. It's been over 30 business days, obviously.
The worst thing that can happen is that we all forget about the money and let them slide. Let's make sure to keep each other informed of what is going on so that we make sure that they pay and not get away with this.
Threaten to report them to the state Attorney General. I guarantee you will get a real response. And if they still try and dodge you, it's a wrap for them. The state does not take such things lightly. Just have all your info in order (proof of purchase, notice of show cancellation, e-mails, etc.).
I'm having the same problem. I spoke to a lawyer who represented a client at EDC 2011. He told me that if I can get a group of 10 people he will represent us (because lawyers are expensive and all we will get is our money back so the more people the more it will be worth hiring him). Go Ventures is super shady and I think we all deserve justice and our money back. Please let me know if you're interested, we shouldn't be ignored by Go Ventures.

Please be advised that while Go Ventures, Inc. has worked diligently to process all Monster Massive 2011 refunds however our efforts have been hampered by several issues beyond our control. As many of you are aware Go Ventures, Inc. has been involved in a year-long dispute with the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. During that process we have been cooperative and forthcoming with all requests. However, this process has obviously affected our day-to-day operations, which includes all pending refunds. Nevertheless, we continued to process refunds on a rolling basis. Unfortunately, as part of the ongoing dispute the District Attorney sought and received permission to freeze all assets and accounts of all the individuals involved in the dispute. Because of this our ability to process refunds has been taken away from us. We continue to work, through our lawyers, to seek a lifting of the freeze order and hope to have a resolution from the court shortly. Upon a lifting of said freeze we will work to expedite all refunds to our valued customers. Go Ventures, Inc. has stated, from the beginning, that we will refund all ticket holders and we continue to stand by that statement. We understand that this has been a frustrating process but we ask that you continue to be patient while we allow the process to work its way to resolution.
Why don't you guys just file a claim with your card company? Done.
Boom.
