Tranceaddict.com OFFICIAL - Tune of the Year 2004 Nomination thread
We're back again with the annual contest and this year will be largely similar to in previous years. There are a lot of styles to cover, and to some purists they might not find their favourite tunes making it through, but that's to be expected, with over 40'000 members and hundreds of tunes to choose from, we'll try to make it simple.
Rules
Nominate 5 tunes in your replies, remixes etc will all count as the same song, for example if jump the next train is nominated, just the one place will be available which will cover all of the remixes of this song. Please use tunes that have only been released or played in 2004, anything too old or brand new (as in only just coming out) will not be considered as it is too hard to put new hyped stuff up against tunes that are older but have been more successful in general.
each tune will then be given a score tally, and we will take the top ones into the elimination polls. Here you will choose 2 out of every 8 choices over 5 polls, meaning it'll be 40 tunes on the final shortlist, narrowed down in 5 weekly polls to give us a final top 10.
You will then vote for your favourite tune out of the final 10.
As always, myself & the people helping me out in this reserve the right to alter the final shortlists in the interests of fairness and to try & give a good scope from all styles. Please respect why we have to do this, we will not turn it into the best 40 tunes armin played or markus schulz played or pvd played etc, most of their shows do something along those lines anyway, so keep the vote for that to there, and let us trust our wide range of knowledge & preferences.
We will accept any suggestions from trance to techno to house to anything, providing it comes under 'electronic' categories.
There will be no abusing of the people running this competition, if we see you doing this, we will just disregard your actual choices, making it a pointless excercise. You also should not use this thread as a place to discuss all the tunes, make a seperate thread if you want to do that, making this just for nominations or general enquiries and not turning it into 200 pages of drivel!
The final date for nominations is December 11th 2004. After then we will bring the polls up, which will run from 12th to 21st december, upon which time we will shut the heats down and immediately open the finals, hopefully to reveal the results between december 30th and Jan 5th depending on how things go, pref on New years eve or new years day 
This is the official 2004 thread, I have the full backing of Coup & Swamper in this matter, so this isn't another 'lets make an official toty thread' which isn't actually official  Any problems encountered means I have their backing, but I'm hoping it won't come to that.
