Andy Moor played a remix or mash up of Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony

Here is my report for all those that wernt there:

It was a good if not great night. The venue isnt a patch on the Jaarbeurs, that has to be said. The yellow arenas sound also had pretty bad problems when we went to see Kandi there towards the end. Also the main arena got packed out so fast a hell of a lot of folk that would have wanted to see Armin were unfortunately locked out (thankfulyl we didnt).

Got in just for the start of Schulz who simply played like a demon. Head down, techy almost angry trance lol. Turbulence which is just a rip off of Forbidden City done the damage as did his huge mash up of Perception. Dakota - Sinners was also a huge highlight when the main riff hit the place went absolutly crazy. And then the Coldharbour mix of Airwave it doesnt get much better than that. Top stuff from a man who is pushing to be king at the moment.

Decided after we went to get drinks during a bit of Markus that staying for Above & Beyond would be sensible as it was clear folk were goin to be stopped from getting in the main arena pretty soon. So our planned trips to see the likes of Orjan and O'Bir sadly had to be cancelled.

Above & Beyond were terrible yet again. Just slowed the room to a crawl after Markus had left it in tatters. They felt the need to again play the awful on a good metropoils day. I suppose the "trancefamily" enjoyed it but it just left a load of us standing about bored shitless. They pulled it round a bit with a great play of Home and the new track that is the outro is pretty amazing even if it isnt necessarly clubby or anything you have to admire the production.

Armin was next and his first 70-80 mins were tremendous. AK47 was one of the tunes of the night. It lit up that big room something silly as did Orjan - Between The Rays. Great to hear Daniel Kandi - Symphonica again as well by far the best track of last year. It seemed like Armin didnt want this set to sound as similar to the other "500" sets and the big anthems like Take A Moment and We Control The Sunlight were omitted for more techy and less well known tunes. Not to say it was bad but I did expect to hear a couple more of those big anthems from the new compilation at such a big event. His finish was a mixed bag as while I love tunes like Strange World, to play it at 135bpm or so just makes it sound diluted and weird really. Same with the Orange Theme which just seemed completely out of place where the Martin Roth mix would have went down a bit better.

Got up to see Robert Nickson in the very small orange room where he was battering it out. Got to hear Spiral gettin played and that was good enough for me. Nickson was one of the few playing at 140bpm or more. He was really hammering it.

Saw most of Daniel Kandi who played a hell of a lot of his own productions and seemed to start really slow. Dont think he knows too much about building a set and his mixing style is quite boring which lent to it being a bit of a damp squib of a set. Still he played Symphonica again which is unreal and was a great way to leave the event at that point.

Great to see so many folk I know through this board and others at it. While it wasnt the most historic spectical I maybe wanted it to be it was certainly up there was the best of my dutch trips. So heres to ASOT 550. Who knows what hes gona do for that one!

im glad also for his success man, im glad that EDM nowadays has a few young talented djs/producers that comes from nowhere like Arty and keep pushing the boundaries of our music by creating one amazing tune after another!

before 2 years even his mom didnt know Arty and now coming from nowhere he plays at ASOT500 really blow the roof off with his great stuff mostly his productions or mashup (which where great)..

watch the video of his performance and see what he does with the crowd and the mixer it was obvious that this guy has great personality and loves what he is doing..

also his tune which is the ID no4 i can only say WOW!!!!!
