James Holden may not be a household name in the United States just yet, but to fans of adventurous, progressive electronic sounds, the British purveyor of psychedelic techno is widely renowned as a musical genius. His talents are so respected that he has lent his hand on remixes for some of pop music most eminent stars, including Madonna, Depeche Mode, & New Order. Holden’s journey began back in 1999, at just 19 years old when he burst onto the UK scene with the exuberant trance hit “Horizons”. The track, which was produced on just a basic home computer set-up with freeware music programs, went on to open the doors to legions of bedroom producers who have now become the mainstays of the dance music world.

Also the head of the influential label Border Community, which boasts fellow forward thinkers Nathan Fake & Extrawelt on its roster, Holden can count himself amongst that very modern breed of DJ with a special knack for layering the most surprising of records with an unparalleled musical ear. His status as a free-spirit unconstrained by genre has now been championed by independent stalwart !K7, who have called up Holden to deliver the next installment in their definitive mix series DJ-KiCKS. The masterfully eclectic mix includes his first single in four years “Triangle Folds. Holden’s edition of DJ-KiCKS is a musical manifesto that seems particularly well-timed. With the dominance of the minimal sounds finally starting to dwindle, the scenes of previously neglected genres are bearing ripe fruit once again. On Saturday July 10th Blkmarket Membership present a very special night time event featuring Deetron, Pier Bucci live, Seuil live, Shadi Megallaa, Taimur & Fahad.

We know Deetron via his productions on Music Man, and most recently, his joint collaboration with Seth Troxler on Circus Company. When we ask our friends about Deetron, they simply mention that he is a damn good DJ and that he needs to be invited to play our party. Pier Bucci's Chilean twist to techno has been a favorite of ours for a long time. Recently launching his own imprint Maluca, Pier continues to push the boundaries in his worldly sound. His latest album 'Amigo' just recently hit stores and is nothing short of excellent. His collaborations extend to past works with Argenis Brito as Mambotur, Monne Automne with Luciano, Glacier with Crazy Larry and the list goes on. Make sure to catch one of the most talented artists out there live in an intimate setting.

Blkmarket Membership has become good friends with the Freak n' Chic DJ's. From recently bringing Anthony Collins and Dyed Soundorom, we now bring you the debut of Seuil live. His live shows have been on our radar for quite sometime. We wanted to bring him for a show that was right and this event just happened to be that!

Shadi Megallaa was one of the founders of Leftroom Recordings with Matt Tolfrey and now has currently resided in New York to work on pursuing his musical career. Shadi is a long time friend of ours and we are very pleased to have him finally for his Blkmarket Membership debut.

Jeffrey Scott is a name that you will be hearing alot about. One of the main DJ's to hail out of Washington D.C's scene, Jeffrey has relocated to New York to pursue his music career. He recently has become a resident for the ex-Resolute co-founder's new event called Esthetik.

Last but not least, residents Taimur & Fahad close out the night with a deep chuggy afterhours set that they are known for.
