both sound pretty similar to me besides Dance for Eternity having some vocals

In the chorus, it has a bit that sounds like the beginning of Ken Laszlo - Hey Hey Guy (1984)

Does the tune of 4 Strings - Hurricane remind you of any older trance tunes? Maybe it too is a remake of one of Carlo's older productions, ala Silmarillia.

Yes. The original writers are given credit on the Blue sleevenotes tho, "written by David Dundas & Rick Wentworth", while with Solarcoaster they aren't.

Francesco Rossi - Seduction (Abyss Remix)

I recently heard 'Seduction' a few weeks ago in the Gareth Emery Podcast, PVD played it in the guest DJ segment of the show. I don't know which track came first (I'm assuming Some Polyphony) but they sure do sound similar.
