Dude, I live in Windsor, right at the border, and I'm not even gonna chance that. Unless I get in on some of the bus deals that a few of the bars and clubs here are talking about, I'm getting a hotel in Ann Arbor, taking it easy on NYE (reasonably) and doing the game and New Years night proper!
Just waiting on ensuring and confirming I got tickets, how many people are going etc and I'm booking the room. Just easier for a few reasons...
1) As you mentioned the borders will be packed!
2) Just like the borders, the highways/freeways into the city and by the stadium will be brutal as well
3) I have hard enough time to get out of bed to turn the TV on to watch the winter classic most years, let alone having to actually get myself to the game
Ann Arbor could be lots of fun for NYE considering...
The two Hiltons in Ann Arbor are already sold out.
