I haven't tried the Sony 7506 but i owned a pair of Sony 7509 and it had great sound quality like the Sennheiser HD25 i own now. The sound of the Sony's were a little more dull but the bass were more present than the Sennheiser HD25.

The Sony 7509 is a bit clumpsy maybe due to the size and weight of the cans but they sit tight around the head and without getting my neck hurting when resting them around the neck so that's a good thing if comfort is important.

The Sony 7509 are a bit bigger than the 7506 but i think they are more suitable for studio use than the 7506.

yah... me too! i think i'm going to be buying a pair of those very soon. the difference between playing with your 7506's on Saturday night and my V600's tonite was soooo insane. i couldn't even mix with the V600's because of how muddy and bassy they sounded!! like i could beatmatch fine but it just sounded sooo bad compared to the 7506's, and if a mix started to fall off it was really hard to make the correction because i couldn't hear certain elements well enough.

... I have no idea how you can say the v6's are muddy w/ regards to bass... They are the best cans I have ever used.. never gonna change..

i have the V600's, not V6's.

edit // if the V6's are the same thing as the 7506's then why the difference in price?

The only differences are that the 7506's have gold plated connectors and a blue sticker, the V6's have a silver connector and red stickers.

Apart from that, they're the same.
