i actually thought the track sounded quite sweet in the first 10 seconds where it sounded like you had low-passed the kick and bass?? Had a nice old-school feel to it!
the lead arp at 2mins sound really nice but not a fan of the piano thing going on there

I really like the first one and a half minutes, a nice gentle introduction to the track, and extremely easy to DJ - I'd let the nice bit with the bass and all the elements do 16 bars more before it loses the kick, let the floor get into it a little more, then come back in full power for at least 64 bars, you can do things like mess with with the reverb and FX to keep interest during this part, but don't let the energy drop one little bit (it does at the moment)

then bring the bit at 2:53 to 3:23 in, and cut it at 3.23 - no need for extended breakdowns in these kind of tracks, DC10 will just wander off the dance floor.. come back in with the bit at 3:40 - but make it a bit louder (the lead) and don't fade it, just come back in withe the main section (with the bass etc.)

kill that little wobbly second break 4:47 is what should be coming in and repeating 8 bars for a while.

The track could be really good, but it's just doing too much at the moment for this type of track

- maybe have this version as the B side, and do a stripped out, dancefloor ready version.

well produced, much better bass on this one

- has great potential, but you have to think like you're on the dancefloor.

hope this helps

T

yup, it sounds pretty bad.

Thanks for the feedback on First Class - it;'s in the Producers Promotion section now, I have fixed the bass drum (it was a little boxy) cut 16 bars from the breakdown/build to make it tighter, played a bit with the piano etc.

I think it's as done as it's going to be - would appreciate you guys having a listen in the promotion section to see if I did a decent job of the final master etc.

cheers again!

Good to have you back man, what happen?? - as far as your latest work --> me like it, nice overall sound with interesting melodic approach - I just wish you could add a female vocal breezing throughout this track which would definitely make it top one for me lol.

Nice to hear from you again

hello matey - just couldn't get any music finished to a decent standard, invested in a bit of new gear and it all started to happen
I'd love to get a vocal on this too
great to see you!

Falisjesse Sincere: Not that great as idea, polish it all you like and it will still be a filler at best. Burn. Or change the bassline and start rebuilding.

optik - First Class. Probably late to the party, as you said it's the final release. Essentially first minute and a half needs another lead on top of your arp-lead-whatever. Or some other musical content, vocals, whatever. Otherwise just boring. Good mix. Would personally layer piano with a synth lead and fade out at some point, sounds too wimpy on its own imo for aggressive track like this.

Here's the track I've been writing. Personally think it's fucking fantastic but judging own stuff objectively is impossible. Come on, tear it a new arsehole

Great atmosphere with the little bleeps and clicks.
Not a fan of the abrupt stab at the 2:20 and 3:08 marks but that is just my personal opinion
There is a tremendous increase of "something" around the 3:20 mark of the track and it is clipping badly.
Again, you seem to have a great understanding of atmosphere. It is very warm and has a sexy vibe that carries it.

let me know what you think - it's a track we promoed 8 months ago and got a few plays from Lange and Steve Anderson, but a lot of the feedback suggested it was almost there; so we decided to pull back the release and re-work the track
would love to hear what you think!

The track sounds great and the mixing is fine but there is something about the piano I'm not feeling? Also I'm not so sure on the arrangement. 3min mark should be your intro. From the break down you have, you expect more when it kicks in at 3 mins and that bassline just isn't enough imo. I would re arrange it from the 3min mark and take what you have to the break if you get me?

I managed to grab some rare time on my computer today and started another wip that I'll never finish

Vercetti that is on nice track man.

Andy - its decent with good sounds and interplay, now finish one!

Evo your track with the female sample is real nice, just needs a little more development to call it finished.
Very enjoyable.

Tobyshark, it's fine but not that original if I'm honest.

your track is rather nice - has a bit of an anjunadeep feel to it. It's going to be a serious job to bring it up to the volume level that seems to be required today and to keep the dynamics and space in the mix. the bass is strong and well balanced and moves you nicely when you turn it up.

well chosen synth sounds add to the texture nicely.

the big issue, and it's something fixable but IMHO opinion: is the groove - which is ever so close to being right - and works when it's stripped down at 4:00-4:25 or so but losses it's grove somehow when the bass comes back in, maybe it's the quantised hats, but the groove is a little off and it kills tracks like these that rely on the groove being a consistent thing throughout. minor tweaks to the perc and bass timing are what is required, but I've found it takes f'ing ages!

good luck - nice track.
