You don't understand the basics of THE GRANDMIX:

i remember when di.fm/armin did the modular 1 airing like it was a big deal at the time. listened to it and didn't think it was really anything special. to be honest, i think floating points does way better extended songs than he does. there's just no comparison between modular 1 and ratio or kuiper, really any of early floating points

looking at the tracklists in these monster mixes theres a lot of memories and songs that are nice to be reminded of but mixed in with sooooo much garbage that it just really makes the mix tank.

still respect for the guy for essentially documenting the years and perhaps inspiring some of the greats

Don't mind me, just going through 6 years of posts. Listening to as much that works as possible.

His Minimixes are so cool, I love it how he uses vocals of one track over the other into the next especially after @1:20
