Than we have Storyteller. And yes, his nickname is really appropriate cause he's nothing more than a storyteller. Talks about knowing Ferry Corsten for many years now, and I don't exclude that, but I'm just wondering what was his role in that circle. If I were to judge by his music I'd say he was cleaning the toilets in his studio, cause you can't explain otherwise such failure.
Even his newly founded lable "loving music" (such an original name) is going nowhere, and what could you expect from someone who is simply denied for the job...
I'll gladly take the bait. Full disclosure, I don't care.
I never said that nor implied that. I have not met Ferry. I've got a close friend who works in his company. Dance Therapy (Ferry Corsten's management company) and Flashover Recordings (FC's label) are clients mine of web-based services I provide. I do that next to my day-job working for a innovator focussed marketing agency which happens to publish a music magazine named DJBroadcast as well - do notice the Storyteller reference in the footer .
Second regarding the label: There's a 100 page business plan supported by feedback coming from music industry innovators coaching record labels as Armada and Flashover recordings regarding their business strategies, a professor and several label owners. The name is not that original, I'll give you that. But strangely enough nobody took it apart from the .com. I've been keeping it for myself since beginning 2011 or so now.
The funny thing about Loving Music is it doesn't have to work. It's more so a business case where I want to prove that record labels as they exist currently have now place in this world. If it doesn't work that is fine. It's set up in a multi-sided market business model - It basically exists because I want it to and is funded with income generated by other sides of my businesses. It can remain at a loss financially indefinitely without a hitch. It is merely intended to be a promotional platform for artists, and a fun learning project for me hoping to prove a point.
Keep making frustrated posts. In the meantime I'll be busy with my 2 passions music & web, the things that keep me busy for the most parts of life. Aside from my future wife .
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

Pissed I didnt get a mention future ;"(, although I somewhat agree with him. Everyone here is just patting eachother on the back for the most part. Ofcourse this thread is only going to be as good as the people who contribute to it, there seems to be a lack of that around here. Its all good fun if you dont take it too seriously, its really hard to find quality people to bounce shit with that are very knowledgable or have a shit ton of talent, or both. Its the norm in everyday life, shit just get swamped; so I guess its a bit unrealistic to complain.
In b4 people who I've pissed off months ago talk shit to me.

Well since a lot of people here seem to be progressing I think this particular conversation isn't really needed. Also a lot of people here just aren't looking to get burnt down. One step at a time seems to be what most of the people here prefer and I can't blame em. If someome wants brutal honesty they can always ask for it.

I also agree that a lot of the feedback seems to be done to get it over with so that you can post your own track.

I knew it you would substantially agree with me. And the patting on the back is exactly what I meant. Such behavior might be comfortable for the insecure, but it doesn't help in any way. I prefer some harsh and elaborated critic rather than "Hey Jim, liking the pluck there" or comments of this kind "maybe you could do this, maybe you could do that"...Like, what the fuck does it mean "maybe"? Do you know what you're talking about or you're just filling the comment section with random words? Maybe means nothing. Is uncertainty that is transmitted at the addressee.
It seems to me like I'm talking common sense here. Would like to hear what Clooney has to say about it.

This thread is what it is *insert cliche*
My advice is to friend likeminded people and talk to them on skype or something, you can help eachother and exchange techniques, information and what not. You'll get a much better experience if you're both dedicated.
Im not gonna talk about destructive feedback because im pretty trolly myself.

U must too as u seem to be impressed with the basic shit I learned at the age of 10. Again, just check the links I posted, you'll be shocked over its technicality and melodic abstraction and no theory was used in any of them, only pure talent. Yes I rock that much. 90 tracks and a few albums, all released. The fact that you took this little melodic sample as serious says more about you. If you look in music discussion you'll see where it came from. Also I didn't use arpegiator. U can get the project if you like. I plunked in every note. And added awesome lfos.
Bro, just stop it.
Do you know how many requests I got from semi-known labels to release my stuff? Tons. But is not worth it. I mean, for someone like you it might mean something, but I'm aiming higher than putting some average shit on iTunes and rejoice like a virgin who just got her first dick.
Those track are so bad I wonder how you weren't ashamed to post them.

I think everyone's guilty of this.
However some members have gone that step further to help over pm and even Skype.
It's by no means perfect but the amount of posts made by members it must show it has its place here, yes?
If you're after pro detailed feedback, go and pay a subscription to any of the many providers that's available on the web, but I bet even then you'll not receive your monies worth.
