It's always been a popular topic around the lower end of the bell curve, there - true. Perry may have been pandering in his accommodating neutrality over the issue. I'm from Austin and, by no means, has it ever been a prevalent topic of conversations I've had. Which raises the question: Where did your friend move?
Austin I think. He is actually a friend of a friend... I can see him probably hanging around the left side of the bell curve too.

I also love the backpedal from 'THE GOVERNOR TOTALLY SAYS IT ALL THE TIME' to 'I know this one guy who's lived there for a little while and swears he heard a few dumb hicks say it.'
Oh, Nou.
Where did I back peddle you moron? The governor did say it, he didn't say it outright, but he implied it quite strongly. Everyone knows what he meant by those words.

Nou, I know you could never understand this, but people tend to prefer to live where they grew up, even once they move.

Yea, but people that move here usually tend to like to stay here. We have so many god damn immigrant Californians.
Also, we aren't filled with racists and conservative sociopaths like the rest of the country.

I love how he thinks where he lives is the best, yet has 0 experience living anywhere else. It's even funnier, because the place he lives is so awesome, that he won't leave his aunt's basement.
I love people who give opinions about life, when the way they lead theirs can barely be considered living. "Those that can't do, nou.".
nou= sitting contradiction IMO

In the US? I dont think there really is any way you could doubt that this is the best place in the US. I mean its just fact.
In the world? No. Obviously you've missed all the posts where I pretty much state that almost every other industrialized western modeled country is probably better than the US, including where I live.
In fact this whole conversation started because I posted a video of Japanese conductors and Shaw told me to move, because he took it as implication that I was once again implying that Japan is better than the US. I was just posting the video because it was funny tbh.

Yelled at a driver for the first time this year... I'm pretty tolerant, but one of the passengers threw a beer can out the window and it nearly hit my tyre. As if littering on foot isn't bad enough, the jerk reckoned his is the only car whose tyres can go flat when torn open by a metallic object.
