Exciting day of football. Gotta love this sport!
France vs Argentina should be interesting. Many are excited about a possible match between C. Ronaldo and Messi but realistically Uruguay and France are favorites.
Great day though!

No joke this time. Lingard can dribble, he's got a lovely touch, and he scores great goals. Go watch a YouTube highlight reel of his goals for Man United. Every one a banger. He's also scored in two cup finals for United so he's got big game credentials as well. Yes, he can look physically lightweight and he's not always consistent, but our midfield needs a player like him who can link with the forwards.
Also, about England fans: the worst thing about the World Cup is that it brings out all the "fans" who know absolutely nothing about football and only tune in every two years. As Marcus says, it's not exclusive to England. I watched a Poland game during the Euros with the family over there. Poland were winning 1-0 and completely dominating the game (against Northern Ireland) but all the family were moaning that it was slow and boring. Casual fans just want end-to-end excitement all game otherwise they think a team are playing badly.
With that said, Panama were a pub team. They qualified through the second weakest confederation, so their presence doesn't make them better than Chile or Italy. Let's keep some perspective: we've won two knock out tournament games in the last twenty years. Pessimism is to be expected.

I'm sure I've seen the ball roll out over the touchline in several games, and both the linesmen and VAR have not picked up on it. It was in the Japan games and Portugal games.
In other news, Portugal are cheating, diving b*stards and I hope they go out at the soonest possible opportunity.

There's a word that sums up this sort of behaviour, and that word is 'reject.'

I've never cared much about football and haven't actively watched any of the games but I'm having a tremendeous amount of fun right now teasing everyone I know that was in the edge of their seats for Germany
I'm indifferent to the result of this game. I'd like to send Germany my regards, Brazil weep with you because we by no means hold any grudges after that one game we played here at home.

And not just by one goal, but two. I can only imagine how much money betting companies must've lost today
