Very raw wip atm with some placeholders still in.
Had to make a composition change and not sure if I like it this way or the other way..lol

The beginning is very nice, floaty pad and arp... tbh i would get rid of piano melody and try something else instead...

Ah, the piano. Yea, I have contemplated that. Thing is, as I mentioned the placeholders, that is one of them. The track was actually conceived on that piano chord progression. I am toying with the thought of another arp yet I already am running 3 and don't want to cloud those tones.
Going to have to play with that and see...Thanks for the insight Gordan!

Vary up those drums and you've got yourself a progressive breaks track. I would also suggest trying out some different samples, as those drum hits sound strangely lo-fi.

Hey, Thanks Mystery. I honestly had never heard of that genre before.
Took a listen to some mixes out there and to my surprise, it IS alot of the kind of stuff I do. I was actually kind of blown away by this revelation. =O) Thanks for the enlightenment!

had to go quite far back to find one that hasn't been removed!!

I like this it reminds me of sasha airdrawndagger a little in style, really cool! the sounds are really nice

if i have to make some constructive criticism (which i always try to do as i think its the most useful) I'd say the overall mix is letting it down. I'd say it could do with being louder and a bit more punchy, the kick and snare could cut through the mix better. i think you could do with highpassing basically everything except the kick and bass as it all seems a bit crowded in the low mids and lows. IMO if you worked on you rmixing youd have an amazing tune there. Im just re reading this book http://www.soundonsound.com/reviews...ts-small-studio its IMO the best book of its kind ive read

ALL IMO of course

Commenting on the fly - clean with good sound separation, dynamic and nicely control levels, interesting sounds selection with sweet sublime melodic theme - drums are doing justice for this type of genre but I would add occasionally some complex pattern to it.

Overall had good listening experience man, nice work.

A very solid basis for a track, but definitely needs something more. No idea what that something would be, though.

And like Darek said, some drum fills every now and then to break the pattern.

This is my latest WIP work and has to be done on headphones so I'm not really sure if I was able to get to proper levels and dynamics - how that's sound for you guys? (just dry sound, no fillers, drops, FX, ....)
