ALWAYS appreciate your input D. I guess I am trying out a new work flow and it seems to be helpful,to me. I have serious ADD,my attention span is very low. So, I get in a groove with a track and get it to a point where I am somewhat satisfied (composition and partial arrangement) and then I stop and move on to doing a new track. After awhile (like currently with me) I end up with like 8 songs. Then I go back and re visit them and decided if I feel the same way about the track. If I do I go into completion mode with a mix. Hopefully I can dwindle down 3-4 solid tracks to distribute to a label for my first submits
Also, you are no different then me man lol - right now I have around 6 different concept from Electro-EDM through Chillout/Smooth Jazz to Nu-Disco - so you can see yourself that getting multiple ideas on the table and selecting the one you think is the best for you to work on it at this moment is pretty much the flow for some producers
Just an example:
Quick (4 to 6 hrs) concept for Chillout/Smooth Jazz styles which need to massage farther (this is already not latest one but is good enough for this example) lol
Cheers man,
Darek

Not really my cup of genre tea really(freakin dig that kick however). And production sounds tight. Curious, are you mixing on the go? I used to do that and found it took more time away from the ideas I had in my head because I was depending on the quality to take the lead in what I was going to do next. Again with the ADD...I just wait till I know I am liking it enough to go into mix mode now. I hate working production on a track I know I wont finish

Yes, I do a proper mixing and level balancing on the fly as any idea need to sound proper before I will give it go - makes (at least for me) huge difference if the sound is not well balance which will cause me to trash this whole concept.

Cheers,

Love this Darek, sounds great but something about the kick/bass not grooveing right, maybe too much squeezing and the kick seems to be getting crowded slightly? it's almost there imho, sounds really open on the higher mids (vocals and top end of the plucks)

Thanks Paul for your comment - and this kick as far as I remember is already change to new one which seats a bit differently then the old one (missing freq where added to punch through more dynamically) - the rest will be tackle when I will have more development in the structure to balance and levels all the sounds/tones characteristics.
Cheers,
Darek

Decent track Derek, sorta thing I often listen to now. Deep and sexy, nice sounds so far.

The image is of a stream and waterfall I recently built that was bare dirt, so there..lol
Got add something to that first break
hey Rich - probably bit too much on the low end for me which is preventing that groove from breaking out
🦉 It'd be better if it were more like Music Cafe @ KVR. A new thread for each track in its own forum section, so you don't need to scroll past unrelated posts.
