Nice track, I really like it
You have to improve you mix quite much, as you said.
I am not into that genre so much but I think you could try to make better transitions when something happen, I mean around 2.33 and 4.48.
Overall it was good with a nice feeling
Here is my "Melodic house progressive". No mastering and just slighty mixing. Sorry for the low volume-output

Man that kick is golden. The bass is nice too. The chord progression (& melody) is just unispiring, doesn't lead you on a journey(sorry for hippy language). You really need to change the piano sound, it just sounds cheap, same with the plucks. The flute is alright. The breakdown is executed pretty well, but should have some dramatic and/or driving events. Also, get rid of the pitch shifting in the breakdown, at least on such tonal instruments, that sounds just awkward, doesn't provide that rising effect, it just throws everything out of key. You can perform the key shifting via piano roll if you want, but don't use the pitch slider. The mixing is pretty good especially when the drums & bass are active. Just clear out the sub area. The plucks however get kind of lost in the latter part of the breakdown.
Generally it'll turn out good, just fix those issues and you're right on
