Digital Dreams will only be a success as an experience once again if the weather co-operates. Although ticket pre-sale is highly encouraged, I can bet about 10-20% of this first event was because the weather was so awesome that people decided to go because they knew the weather would be incredible without worry.

I knew so many people that were not planning to go about a week before, then 2-4 days before the event anyone and everyone around me decided to go.

I hope it is the same next year, but if for some reason another big event such as Sensation would be here, that would for sure cut into the DD weekend unfortunately.

Sensation (if it happens in TO) is a completely different weekend - that was a third party site speculating on a possible date. They have already changed it to another (incorrect) date.

i really liked the grounds the festival took place on. i mean it was a lil far from where i was staying and downtown but overall the festival was nicely set up and such
but alot of people were telling me that the land was gonna get sold to make condo's and houseing...anyone know if there is any truth to that? or will the location stay the same?

Same site with an expanded footprint...

People keep asking for 'more techno'. With 1 hour slots? The music already sounded the same by a lot of the DJs last year. If you put in more techno, you are guaranteed to seal that deal.

Again prog legends for 1 hour slots? Saw digweed last year at a festival with a 1.h hour slot. That man needs 3-4 hours, at minimum 2.

Festivals just aren't good for DJs that need longer to build.

I was looking on the Rogers WBO site and saw this:
quote:
Customers will be asked to enter their Mailing Address during the purchase process for Digital Dreams 2013. The Rogers WBO will be mailing out the RFID Wristbands in advance of the festival at no extra charge.

Can someone confirm my assumptions...
- no more QR code that nobody will actually look at
- no more shitshow Rogers WBO lineup like last year
- these wristbands are exactly the same as the ones purchased from Ticket Master so we all go in from the same line
- no Rogers employee will insist they put the wristband on for us (this was the most f'ed up thing about last year)
