Well they are perfect for me. I live in an apartment so I really didn't want huge bass. These monitors give off way more than enough sound. And with my monitors 3 feet away from each ear, it sounds amazing. Check them out at a store! If you want more bass the 8's are apparently good as well.
nice to hear about the KRK. I was actually going to post a new thread about monitors. Hopefully Guitar Center down here will have some.

Nice clean setup. You just need a 3 or 4ch mixer so you can make some good use of having the cds and tts.
I have a 2ch mixer and 2tts and the other two lines comming from my laptop and i cant wait to get a 3ch mixer so that i can do some sampling and 3track mixing.

yeah...switching between phono and line gets the job done...but its a pain...im thinking about picking up the denon dn-x500, but i dont know how long i'll be mixing for just because of work issues after i get out of school, and dont want to dish out $400+ for just a few months
