Writing soap notes/doing any kind of charting does seem daunting at first. I remember always feeling like I wasn't writing the right thing or the language wasn't right - because at the end of the day, those are considered legal documents. But as time goes on and you become more confident with your assessments, you'll become more confident with your notes as well.
It's kind of a lot of pressure when you're just just starting out, haha. | Exactly what they taught us in documentation class. You must feel like you will be A-ok with defending them in front of the court.
Crazy when it is put in that perspective! I think this is what I am most nervous about. Also, I am an OTA and I will most likely only be doing the actual interventions.. but at this facility they want us to do EVALUATIONS. So it's a little nerve wrecking because I haven't yet learned physical dysfunctions - only psych. All the homeless ppl in the shelter have some sort of disability in order to live there.
It's just already crazy to be out on the field. I am sure you know this haha. You only learn so much in school.
