I agree with you to some extent...issues regarding the trade for Kessel fall firmly on Burke however; Kessel's performance falls completely on him.
He refuses to back check and is a defensive liability, he refuses to be hit or hit anyone, he continues to do the same thing over and over again with the same result...nothing. The only time you notice him on the ice is when the game is no longer meaningful. He goes down the ice and takes a simple wrist shot from the top of the circle and then he sulks the rest of the game because he didn't score.
If I was Wilson the first thing I would tell Kessel is if he shoots from the top of the circle he is benched.
