Yes, you can eat kangaroo, it's quite delicious. Super lean meat, it's probably the healthiest red meat there is.
The kangaroos natural environment has been destroyed by land-clearing and farming, mostly. For some reason though, they've bred up in huge numbers, and cause issues everywhere.

do you get alot of urban roos? i know my in-laws have a lot that come and go and just kind of hang out on their property.. they live just outside of gympie though on a few acres. we have urban deer here and they don't do much harm either then eat your tulips/bulbs and destroy your cedars. you have to keep a good eye out for them when you're driving at night though, although i have seen some use a pedestrian walk, most just cross carelessly. here's some deer that frequent our house..
this one clearly thinks he is better then the others with his rags..
sorry about the poor quality.. i've shown my mum how to turn off the flash 100 times but for some reason she doesn't believe me and pushes all the other buttons and changes the settings.
