Yeah grab a 7.1 release for hotspot, I think .163 is latest official release if you care for that kind of thing, if not .205 is the newest. I wouldn't wait for a rogers release, could be a very long time lol. I'm running a 7.1 leak on my 9810 and its a decent upgrade. |
Meh, the slider grew old on me. I only really got it because the magical keyboard/touchscreen hybrid was still elusive at the time of the 9800 release.
I had the 9000, the 9700 and then to go to the Torch, which was great at the time, it just started to bother me. I never uses the larger screen besides browsing, never used the onscreen keyboard, the keyboard was small and hurt my fingers.
The 9810 was cheaper than the 9900, which was one thing that almost made me go that route (this is only really going to be a interim device till the BB10s come out in Q4). But, just read so many good things about the 9900, nothing but praise from friends for the 9900. And it's essentially what I wanted all along from pre-torch days and the advent of the touch screen with Storm 1. A large, 9000 Bold style device with touch capability. 9900 has it.
And just like Dior Homme said above, I think I just wanted a change... hell, my 9800 was in a 9810 casing for the past 6 months, so besides the processor and OS, it didn't even look different.
Depending on what comes out in Q4 for the BB10 devices, I perhaps may go all touch, if it's as responsive as the PlayBook touch screens, and I currently actually don't mind and not infuriated by using the 9860's touch interface, so could be.
