By running this program you are doing a lot more damage than good.

Maybe you should Google 'Grid Computing' and read up before you post something else that makes you sound ignorant.

Maybe you should have a basic understanding of the subject yourself before you call people ignorant.

Granted searching for a cure for cancer is a better use of your computer than the computer games and porn you probably waste your time on, but the ammount of energy running a processor at full will actually cause more damage through energy use than any good you might hope to do.

My computer runs at 50-55% with this program running.. not at full cap.. Besides, we're hooked up with green energy anyway

Unhappy

Yesterday i lost a friend with cancer. 33 yrs old. Left a husband and a 2yrs old son, family and friends that will miss her...very sad. We should help in some way, if not thru here, in another way, there are many. Hopefully one day we will be able to get a cure. It’s worth trying. Could be me, you, some one you know... maybe we are just lucky. Lets try to change that.

Wonderful signature, mate.

I'm retarded, how? Do you have any idea what you are talking about whatsoever? Or are you just throwing around insults rather than doing some research on something?

If processors are running constantly then there will be more power used, more fuel burnt and more damage to the environment. All this to find a 'cure for cancer', something that is beyond reasonable levels of improbability.

Lets put this down in to a scenario that you might be able to understand. Mr Rabbit has been run over by a car in Australia, he needs urgent medical treatment. There is 1 in 5,954,051,000,000,000 chance that this Rabbit actually knows how to cure cancer. On the other side of the world, in PERU there is a major disaster with many people dying. Should all the medical staff there charter a plane at Lima airport and get on over to Australia to save Mr Rabbit?

Do you realise how much energy you are wasting by running your computer all day while you post stupid shit on the internet?

I've just downloaded the program now. I find myself usually leaving my PC on at night these days, so it can't hurt to do my bit.
