if you listen even to the instrument at the beginning of this song its even very similar to the one (probably an octive higher) in laamanen's version at 6:18 minutes

This thread is OLD. But I wasn't even registered back in 2002, so whatever.
But about a year ago I was listening to

then I heard
Ferry Corsten (with The Thrillseekers) - Sublime [04 Jul 2005]
Oh snap. VERY VERY simlar melody base.
I'm not sure if the "sound" as far as style is similar. But definately simlar melodies.
