Hey, yes I built it myself (with a little help). the sides of the desk slope down, so it is not conducive to tables. I have two CDJ200s on the way with Serato and Abelton ready to go.
cdj's + serato = the shit. u made the right choice...

i got to play a bit with it in a store once, and they are surprisingly sturdy for midi controller! another fine vestax controller, and if you have to go the route of being a digital dj without DVS or Ableton, id say go with either this or a Novation Remote SL Zero.

very sexy man, You're not going to buy cdjs like everyone else? I hear the clubscene in Melbourne is great!
Thanks man! cdj's??? don't know? maybe. i have a wedding to play up your way in october and i might buy some for that as i don't like the idea of transporting my decks and EDM won't be the overall genre.
If i do, i might look at the denon 3500s. they seem pretty sweet and rock solid too.
Vinyl will always be my prefered medium although i do believe cd's have their place. well, they both have have their place!
Yeah, melb. rocks! soooo many places to go out and all kinds of music. Few clubs that are 24/7 now also.... hell yeah!
What part of brissy you from? i used to live in rochedale sth for a few years.
What's the scene like in brissy? I went out new years in surfers and wasn't all that impressed.
