Crashed out? LOL Did you even watch the game? Bitch, please.
Edit @System-J: At the end of the day it's a Man City scenario. Money will be spent, new players will come in, it may work, it may not. You being a football fan should know that it's a pandora's box and you never actually know. Great, you hate Chelsea! Ummmmm....so?
yep. crashed out. i did watch, herb, and you can't say chelsea were the better team over two legs.
chelsea played great in the first 25 minutes of the first half and for like a five minute stretch before park's groin punch of a goal.
in the first leg, chelsea definitely played a second better half, but there was no fear of their work amounting to a goal.

I'd have thought it was self-explanatory why core players are relevant to your team's fortunes. You've got a lot of young squad players and youth prospects, but the fact remains about 50% of your main players are on their way down and soon you won't be able to use your owner's infinite cash to replace them. You're fucked, in other words.

Man City are fucked too. I think I read that their wage bill alone is over 100% of their annual turn-over. They'll be banned from the Champion's League by default with those figures, and with no European revenues it'll be even harder to turn a profit.

Do you know how much Chelsea generates? I really don't see this financial fair play thing being an issue like you do. I'm sure we have a few years before Drogba comes down with Alzheimer's, thanks.

Newsflash, you called me "douchebag" first you shameless hypocrite. Am I being trolled?
Newsflash:
Chelsea was embarrassing to watch across the two legs.
Torres seems totally worthless.
Also, System J seems to know what he's talking about...
GTFO
Park is always fun to watch
But hey, who really cares about the Man U - Chelsea game anyway?
Schalke will send Manchester home next round anyway...
And wooooo FCB baby! Messi is so damn good. Little bit of magic from him today.

Are you joking? Every club publishes a financial report, every year. By the club's own admission they lose money every single year. From the club's official website:
quote:
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said: 'It is still our aim to be self-sufficient and we will achieve this by increasing our revenues as we continue to leverage off our brand.'
That make sense to you? Your club's aim is to break even. In other words, to be able to afford to pay your own players without Abramovich's help. If you can't even pay your existing players right now, where are you going to find the transfer fees to replace five first team players?
It isn't just me who thinks the UEFA rulings will be a problem either:
Fucking hilarious that you're calling me clueless when you don't even know the financial situation at the club you apparently "support". You've always been an absolute idiot, as long as you've been posting on TA, but this is impressive even for you.

Are you fucking kidding me? What are you ten? Clueless in your general statement about Chelsea players being old (which we already went over, you hag). I never said anything about you not knowing about Chelsea's revenue, I simply asked. Shoving financial statements and articles down my throat while calling me an idiot doesn't make you any cooler than a fanny pack. Quit being so pathetic and go outside.

Word that I did! Call me retarded first, I will reply with douchebag, sir. Still doesn't change the fact that everyone's bringing it to you with facts while you've done nothing but shown immaturity at every turn in trying to have a serious discussion with you. Again the truth about chel$ki hurts doesn't it?
