In Amsterdam we bar hopped in the centre, when at one point we landed in some English / Irish pub that had a drunk Englishman in a Wrestler costume, complete with a ridiculous mask and shorts.
Some drunk Dutch guys recommended The Grashopper, so we went there as well.
No Para Para unfortunately. But Utrecht apparently has some retro club called "Aus der Reihe Derrick". It was closed but I totally have to go there next time. Also there was a Trance event in Amsterdam on the weekend in "The Sand" but my colleague didn't fancy paying 40 € for some music he doesn't like. |
Actually I haven't been to the center of neither Amsterdam nor Utrecht that often, I wouldn't know what bars are fun. I work in Utrecht but it's right next to the highway and I never go out drinking after work there.
I do know that the Sand isn't very atmospheric, it's a large, bleak hall. I read some comments on the party and it wasn't all that.
That Aus der Reihe Derrick seems a bit shady lol.
Good you had fun.
