This weekend was something new for DannyO and Myself... Decided to spin on friday night (not something new ) but we decided that we needed to combine our DJ setups together, as DannyO wanted to try out my new Nuo4, but we still wanted to use his mixer for effects and sampling, Matrix unit, etc etc..
The result was one hell of alot gear pushing upwards of $8000. All worth it though as we fuckin went nuts spinning. Tony Morello made a visit aswell. Here are the pics I took this morning of the setup. Night/Spinning photos will need to be provided by DannyO.
Enjoy
awesome pics! by the way, what type of camera do you have? I love the resolution!

I can't get over all the Nuo 4s of recent. I was questioning my choice of mixer, but I don't think I will be now. Pics to come soon.

Well, as if anyone else cares, I'm LOVING my DJM 500, no matter how dated it may be these days. The sound isn't as good as my DXM06, and it may not have the kills, but I've gotten used to it and I'm loving it. My only major quibble is the effects in it. There's no beat-synching button for them so they wind up sounding out of whack. I've decided to not really use the mixer's effects but just use the built-in effects on my cdjs.
uhhhh...so what DO you like?

I own cdj 800mk2's, so i'm not against pioneer, but is that doesn't realy sound like a fair comparison.

Yeah, but for all intents and purposes, there isn't a HUGE difference. Messin' around with the 1000 can give you a pretty good idea of the way an 800 behaves.

i think the main thing he may have been getting at was the pioneer vs denon cdj's. the cdj1000's and the 800's are similiar in the way they function (ie. no moving platter etc) that the comparasion is reasonable imo. i had a chance to play with the denon 3500 a few nights ago and i honestly didn't like them. the platter was trying to be TOO much like vinyl and it was a overkill imo. the pitch slider is uncomfortable to use. i would definately get the 800's over them.
