The love is shared, but well....we did what had to be done. What a clusterfuck of a change. So Paavo is the major one to blame?
No one's solely to blame, it's an initiative that was discussed and then agreed on. I honestly didn't think there was going to be that much of a backlash. I can understand the whole privacy bit but it cuts down on the trolling by a thousand times so not only does it bring out more of the warm fuzzies, it lets me be a complete lazyass in terms of modding and focus my energies elsewhere.
Which is incedentally absolutely fucking nowhere right now. Imagine that.

Like I said in numerous threads, the privacy issue was only important to a minority of people. It was other things that made us leave.

Because we don't fully understand it.

Straight goods, no bullshit, what is the big deal? I felt almost bad after the mass exodus.

It was too forced. They showed they don't care about us at all by forcing something and doing it incredibly bad. They have never been good at implementing anything on that forum, ever.
Plus a heap of people over the years got tired of how hypocritical the staff were as you are well aware of. I kind of just went with where all the interesting people went.
If the staff there don't care about what the forum was before, then the forum moves elsewhere.
Plus the AnjunaHQ new people. Christ on a bike, what an inept and infuriating bunch of people.
The AnjunaHQ folks aren't that bad - keep in mind that most "active" modding was myself and, well, me. I wouldn't say they're inept, just at the epicenter of something that people really didn't like.
Also, we were forced to go to IPB3 and in that, Facebook connect was an option for login. The wheels in some heads began turning and the rest, as they say, is history
